And can I offer en(courage)ment to curiously explore one’s inner terrain, serving as a reminder of one’s inherent worth and value in simply being alive in this existence?
aasia collaborates with
other humans as a clinical speech-language pathologist (SLP) + communication specialist, yoga educator, and certified somatic coach + bodyworker. Through her yoga, somatic, and communication practices, she offers distinctive movement & energy analysis to reveal asymmetries and blockages within the soma, as well as perceptive insights on one’s interpersonal relationships, self-expression, and overall life exploration.
Her journey of yoga studentship and teachership began in the Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga sphere, fortuitously discovering a unique fusion of Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga lineages at Kula Yoga Project in New York City, where she completed her 200-Hour Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga teacher training. With time, the precision and Iyengar Yoga and endurance of Ashtanga Yoga became the foundation for her teachings, coupled with the deeply enriching learnings she explored through continued learning on human consciousness, body mapping, emotional anatomy, non-violent communication, organic intelligence, and somatics.
The evolution of her practice and teaching maintains the fundamentals of physical alignment, with the intentional coalescing of the biological, emotional, social, and cognitive layers of our being.
“Thinking out of the box is exactly how the box thinks.”

Recognizing that she could not “fix the mind with the mind,”
aasia’s journey into somatic coaching + bodywork stemmed from her own emerging awareness of how limiting intellectualizing and cognitive analysis were to embodied learning and transformation. Moreover, when witnessing how the unification of one’s soma, the entirety of one’s organism, lead to radical equanimity and attunement, she completed an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Accredited training in Body-Oriented Coaching from the Somatic School and a Level One Somatic Bodywork Seminar from the Strozzi Institute.
Keep a little of yourself inside when you use your voice.
As an SLP, aasia has worked with a variety of demographics in the acquisition, remediation, and refinement of communication skills. Throughout her studies and diagnostic practice, she recognized the imbalance of attention given to curative care over preventative. In an effort to provide life-affirming education, she completed an intensive course in Non-Violent Communication (NVC).
The blending of communicative sciences and disorders with linguistic self-expression that encourages empathy, collaboration, authenticity, and freedom has allowed her to birth an inclusive approach to Empathic Communication.

Hi Peeps...
If I had to ask myself where I learned resilience, drive, steadfastness, and single-pointed focus from, it would be those five integral realities above. When I think about the suffocation of being othered- swimming against the current, commanding respect through presence, stacking my vertebrae, rooting my dignity, and the muck and mire of judgment and prejudice, I recognize how pivotal each of those realities were (and are) to my personhood. Like lines on a map, I can trace from my current coordinates to the origin, bear witness to the topography of my life’s landscape, extend gratitude to God for the trials that have widened my existence, and marvel at the wanderlust wayfaring that lies ahead.
Although my physicality is integral to my experience in this earthly form, I remain deeply inspired and humbled by the process-play. It is my hope that the substance of my offerings is what is ultimately most prized.
See you on the other side. - aa
