Collaboration over Competition.
In this new age of entrepreneurship and personal creativity, it’s become standard to do it all alone. Part of the wisdom of collaboration is to acknowledge the need and value for community care, as much as self-care. That we exist in society as social beings that thrive on partnerships and co-creativity. Join a growing list of beings committed to raising the vibration of the collective consciousness, and having access to others, whether through a referral network, continuing education, or simply: not feeling alone on this journey.

This video offers some remarkable ways that one will know they are walking the path of attunement and self-actualization.
How will you know you are walking the path of attunement and self-actualization?
There is no final destination when it comes to self-actualization and attunement. The journey concludes when you transition from this human experience. Until then, you are simply committing to walking the path of your human experience with curiosity, patience, and trust. There are a few remarkable changes that will occur:
1) you find yourself moving out of reactivity: you have enough mental and emotional bandwidth, time, and space to make conscious choices in real time, and even under pressure
2) you develop a felt sense of equanimity towards life’s unexpected events:
you no longer live in the binary of good/bad experiences, as dichotomized thinking breeds suffering; you recognize all experiences are essential to your growth and life and you begin to shift your attention to promoting actions and behaviors that are life-affirming and therefore pro-human, rather than anti-human and anti-social behaviors.
you undergo the process of alchemy where you can see many possibilities in situations that seem ‘unfavorable’
you develop an endurance, which is focused on being able to remain committed over time, for experiencing all life’s outcomes, trusting in something Higher and knowing no experience or condition lasts forever
3) there’s a generalized feeling of acceptance and contentment with your life
this concept is steeped in gratitude: your life will contain devastation and loss, but it will also contain richness and abundance and learning how to keep a centered presence during all of it allows for a global contentment for what is/remains after transition and loss
there’s a realization that life is indeed not fair and suffering or conflict will indefinitely exist; when this truth really sinks in, you will feel a conscious choosing to stay connected to a balanced state so you can not only be a resource for your self, but also for others to achieve a similar experience of freedom
4) you are fueled and inspired by a clear, conscious relationship to Purpose
purpose changes throughout our lives as we change and there is no single purpose for multi-faceted, multi-dimensional beings like ourselves
being in conscious relationship to Purpose means you actively consult your life force/spirit/God along the way to remain honest and integrity with how you show up in the world
you are willing to rediscover yourself over and over again, with no fear of social critique or scarcity around possibility
you do things, regardless of their nature, with your whole heart

The video discusses how self-cultivation serves the collective well-being and discusses two fundamental realizations that are integral to change and evolution: you are not separate from the world, and you have no control.
How does self-cultivation serve collective well-being?
There’s a quote in a book called In Tune with the Infinite that speaks to the impact of the individual on the collective: “To the degree that we do this do we overflow, so that all who come in contact with us receive the effects of this realization on our part.” When we realize who we are, we emanate this higher truth and all those that come in contact with us receive this wisdom as inspiration and encouragement to do the same. We are all necessary for balance, harmony, and regeneration of the collective well-being while on this Earthly journey.
We have been endowed with multiple intelligences:
The primary language of the human is sensing and feeling, as we are sentient beings who experience this earthly journey through this human husk. The intellect comes in and allows us to utilize our attention and focus to begin the process of integration. However, awareness and practice alone do not beget transformation: there’s an element of surrender to a wider consciousness that is required, which comes from 2 states of realization:
1) we have no control
2) we are not separate
Getting back into relationship with our sentient nature is key:
The current state of human relations reveals a deep split from our self because of a lack of feeling: we cannot feel our self, so we cannot feel others. When we cannot feel others, we lose our compassion, connection, respect, and desire to build with one another, and if we continue in this direction, our demise as a species is visibly on the horizon. There’s a necessary acknowledgement of 2 things:
that we are interconnected and interdependent and therefore, it is our responsibility to respect each other and the Earth we live on by reconnecting to our self via our sentient nature, reconfiguring our intellect to be collaborative and inclusive rather than dominating, and reviving and rehydrating our compassion and capacity for one another
that we live in a grief-phobic, death-denying society that diminishes our access to a full and colorful life and prevents us from learning from the teacher of death

On December 21, 2023, I was honored to share space with Carole Sandy of From Invisible to Visible Therapy to discuss all things grief.
The ‘Mental Health Round Table’ is a “safe space where clinicians discuss mental wellness and offer helpful insights and support,” facilitated by From Invisible to Visible Therapy, based in Toronto, Canada. I was invited by Carole Sandy, a Therapist and the Founder to discuss a complex and systemically-denied emotion that many of us are navigating with no support, resources, or general education: grief.
Our discussion spanned a variety of topics within grief, including what drives my journey of grief education dissemination, why I think “re-branding grief” is so important, the five gates of grief (as outlined by Francis Weller), what it means to embark on a journey with grief, how grief mobilizes us, working through the grief of COVID, how to navigate the depths of current grief, and some resources and practices that can help along the journey.
Big shoutout to my main resource, The Wild Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller, which has been a formidable companion on the journey of my own grief processing and a source of so much grief education that I reference to disseminate my learnings. And so much love to Carole Sandy for giving me this opportunity to share what I feel is pivotal, transformational, and life-changing discourse.
If you want a shared space to process your grief, feel free to schedule an unearthing call with me here.
As part of the “Yoga in Prospect Park Summer Series” organized by Brooklyn Flow by Bend +Bloom, sponsored by Prospect Park Alliance and NY Presbyterian Methodist Brooklyn Hospital.
On July 7th, 2022, I was honored to hold space for over 200 New Yorkers to move, breathe, and find presence under the sky, with palms on earth. No metaphors that day. Nature met nature.
As part of the “Healing Works Better Together” initiative organized by the NYC Health & Wellness Hub.
As members of the Energy Workers Collective, Gaea and I (Being on the Sound Bowls) provided members of various Harlem communities with some yoga and sound healing. Access and exposure to yoga was varied, and it was beautiful.
shhh, the silence is trying to tell you something.
Be the One. Find your Two.
The moment we speak an untruth, we split from our self.
Embracing all the things that make you different transforms those differences into gifts.
This video offers an introduction to the concept of attunement coaching, the definition of attunement, what the collaborative container can offer, and why we seek partnered self-exploration.
As we get older, we all develop a natural affinity for growth, evolution, and transformation. At some point, we become aware of a fracture: a dissonance and distance from what is true and real for our lived experiences, and this leads to an incoherence between who we are internally and what we present externally. When we try to start living consciously and on purpose, we quickly realize that we are lost: we don’t have our own value system, which means we don’t have a personal North Star. Starting to develop coherence and congruity between our inner and outer worlds becomes the first step in mending our fractured state and returning to wholeness and integrity.
What is the definition of attunement?
Attunement means to bring into harmony or be in tune; it’s to allow our inner and outer worlds to synchronize. Throughout our sessions, there’s a careful exploration of the pockets of dissonance in one’s life, reevaluation of values to establish more autonomy and authenticity, and practices to move through intense transition and learn how to embody change in an unwell world.
What does the coaching container offer?
The coaching container offers a collaborative, safe, and enlivening space to look at one’s unique life journey, details, and experiences, and begin integrating them through the multiple intelligences of the human organism. There’s an important reminder that everything one’s organism does is intelligent and has allowed for safe passage and arrival to this particular moment in one’s life, essentially externally unscathed. This reminder serves to remove any shame that arises when we realize that certain behaviors are self-destructive and dysfunctional to our growth. And, at some point, these survival behaviors begin to internally scathe us, and that is when the desire for change grows intensely.
Why seek partnered self-exploration?
It is incredibly natural to seek partnered exploration and self-inquiry as humans who are gregarious by nature and sentient beings by design. We learn best in community, where we can feel and integrate our experiences across a variety of entry-points of our existence. Healing is done in relationship and minimally in isolation. Partnered spaces are so powerful because the simple bearing witness and presence of another provides support: there’s an unspoken opportunity for the wayfarer to hold their self accountable while exploring their process.
