We are social beings and as such, we thrive in partnerships; creating radical spaces that foster deep understanding, genuineness, and positive regard as one wayfares through the journey of self-attunement is the essence of human co-creation and collaboration.

Attunement Coaching + Bodywork Services:

  • An hour-length call to discuss how you came to this very moment in your life. Through this preliminary discussion, we ‘unearth’ your needs in coaching, the methodology is presented, and you choose if this is the right fit for you.

    Complimentary

  • 5 session program to dig deep into patterns, beliefs, and stories:

    - Through conversation, we begin to notice patterns of implicit beliefs, limitations, wounds, and stories that are living in our soma (sensations, imagination, thoughts, affect, and orientation)

    - Start to make connections between behaviors as unconscious manifestations of these patterns

    - Make explicit connections to how these patterns impact current and future goal/self development

    - Establish a relationship with data from the body-mind as a consistent, constant, and meaningful informational source and resource

    - Postural analysis to structurally assess alignment or geometry of the skeleton, and infer relationships of the soft tissues involved in organizing one’s skeleton

    - Body mapping to identify asymmetries, energetic blockages across the planes of movement, and the condition of the spine, revealing embodied belief systems that sabotage change

    (2-month expiration)

  • 5 - 10 session program to infuse emerging awareness into new behaviors, habits, and ways of being through strategies, practices, routines, and ritual:

    - Identify core values as a compass for self-discovery and cultivation

    - Create a declaration that will serve as a tether to what you care about, what’s important to you, what you’re longing for, and the vision you have for your life and its purpose

    - Explore the use of somatic techniques to identify and uproot conditioned tendencies

    - Learn to mine data from the body-mind to transmute reactivity into responsiveness

    - Familiarize one’s self with the Rhythm of Excitement/Energy to begin learning how to welcome and channel bursts of energy along a healthy developmental cycle

    - Curate practices and insights accessible in real-time and under pressure to support embodied change

    (4-month expiration)

  • Single/Check-in to rekindle your passion for the play and revitalize your commitment to your elevated consciousness.

    - check-in during moments of insight/clarity/disorientation/perplexity to keep the process moving forward

“to bring into harmony: tune”

“A kinesthetic and emotional sensing of others knowing their rhythm, affect and experience by metaphorically being in their skin, and going beyond empathy to create a two-person experience of unbroken feeling connectedness by providing a reciprocal affect and/or resonating response.”

- Erksine, 1998

“Attunement is a particular quality of attention, wedded with affection, offered by someone we love and trust. This deep attention is what enables us to make painful experiences tolerable. We feel held and comforted, reassured and safe.”

- Weller, 2015

Self-Attunement affirms the realization that we are all endowed with the intuitive wisdom and power to sense deeply within and lead a life in harmony with our highest self and others. When we come into integrity with our inner vision and outer purpose, we experience integrated experiences of coherence, congruity, and aliveness.

How can we begin to mine data from our soma through intimacy with our life force, to transmute our states of reactivity into responsiveness, and create greater attunement both within our self and in interpersonal relationships?

By building an awareness of how our life energy processes the sensations, emotions, thoughts, and visualizations that arise in our environments in any given moment.

What is bodywork?

What is bodywork?

In the Strozzi methodology of Somatics, there are three integral aspects to the path of transformation: somatic awareness, somatic opening, and somatic practices. Bodywork allows for direct, effective, and piercing access to somatic opening, which is the palpable point in which a soma receives new, relevant, and digestible information, revealing one’s conditioned responses, beliefs, and shapings that are actively limiting growth and development.

The release that occurs during somatic opening suggest an undoing across multiple layers; an unsticking of frozen unconscious restrictive narratives and can present itself through tears, laughter, yawning, coughing, and at times, physical rage.

Bodywork allows for a contained space to listen and witness those stories and memories held in the muscles and tissues. In the sessions, there are opportunities to uproot the shapings that no longer serve one’s self and replace them with conscious, relevant practices that reflect one’s authentic desires and truth, making these practices more easily accessible, especially under pressure.

“To live in a human body is a rare gift.”

— Richard Strozzi-Heckler

The Framework.

The following principles guide my methodology and approach to Somatic Attunement Coaching + Bodywork:

  • Your life force is the guiding principle.

For true change and growth, the only ingredient required is: you. You, because inside of you, there is an animating force, a mix of personal aliveness and a universal force, an energy that awakens and decreases based on your being’s deepest yearnings and desires. Throughout our development, we lose touch with this life force and our body begins to shape itself around a variety of experiences, some nourishing, others diminishing. Coming back to our life force means coming back to a deep sense of knowing, truth, inherent worth, and meaningful purpose in our human experience and life.

  • The body reveals. Un-learning in the flesh creates new life.

You are currently inhabiting a system of systems that has centuries of wisdom within it. Your body is the house of your soul. It has been with you from your inception and will be with you until you materially transition. The continual over-intellectualizing of your experiences and process, without active collaboration and synthesis of the body’s experiences, is a recipe for a perpetual state of stagnancy and dissonance. Embodied un-learning must occur for us to change well-rehearsed habits and behaviors. It is not enough to intellectually or cognitively “know.” Our bodies require on-boarding, digestion, and metabolism of experiences to gain insights and support whole being integration.

  • Your biology is intelligent.

Every single habit, pattern, and behavior can be traced back to a moment in time where that action was required for safety, belonging, and dignity. It was biological intelligence in its essence. As our environment and realities change, the question becomes: what is this old habit costing you in the spiral of your growth and evolution?

  • We are auto-regulating, self-actualizing beings.

In this dynamic systems of systems (your being), we cannot fix, mould, adjust, or fine-tune ourselves in a piece-meal way. The key is to choose our environments wisely and identify the people, events, spaces, and beliefs that disorganize and dysregulate us. As we utilize strategies and techniques to allow us to enter self-regulation, with time and wisdom, we begin to emanate deep internal resiliency, which allows our being to enter into auto-regulation.

  • The soul digests and heals differently.

The material body and soul body process life distinctly. The soul body does not adhere to the constructs of time and space and requires its own processing and digestion cycle. The desire for change and healing must include the untethering from social demands, expectations, and rubrics related to speed, productivity, and efficiency, in order for soulful transformation and actualization to occur.

  • Imagination and visualization are powerful tools.

Every single act performed has to be imagined first. A process of inner visualization must occur before our brain can commit and complete any action. The imagination is such a powerful tool that it can create visceral and palpable sensations related to a variety of states, including survival, traumatic, euphoric, and equanimous. Through the imagination, we can envision change, possibility, and resolution in our relationship with self and others, which activates our neural Empathic Network and Parasympathetic Nervous System. As such, honing the power of the imagination allows for not only the creation of one’s life goals, but of one’s dreams as well.

  • Unmet needs are unconsciously piloting your life.

In the lens of Non-Violence Communication (NVC), any form of judgment, including ones directed at one’s self, is an “alienated expression of our own unmet needs.” As humans, we all have needs and values that unconsciously pilot and steer our behaviors, goals, desires, and aspirations. Getting clear on one’s own needs and values will reduce chaos and dissonance, and allow for life expressions and experiences that move us towards integrity.

  • Grief is a lifelong companion on the journey.

As a society, dealing with sorrow, sadness, and loss is an underdeveloped skill and major blind spot. As Francis Weller puts it, “We live in a grief-phobic and death-denying society.” Grief is a practice and skill that is inherent to our vitality and soul development. When there is a pressure to ‘return to normal’ after loss, we rob our self of the necessary attention and time to gain the insights that lay hidden in sorrow. We must restore our respect and reverence for the wisdom in grief to allow for a multi-dimensional experience of emotional and life progression.

  • Healing is a by-product of intentional living.

In the endless cycle of the human ‘doing,’ we forget that ‘being’ is our natural state. Healing occurs spontaneously when we begin to a live a life on purpose with intention, accepting and adopting a perspective that life’s events are happening for us, not to us. The more we enter communities and spaces where we can show up fully ourselves, the less effortful our healing becomes.

  • As social creatures, we are shaped and conditioned by our environments.

We do not exist in isolation. The myth of individualism has disrupted our capacity to identify the social heirlooms that we’ve all inherited against our essence’s will. We all occupy different ‘locations’ in society, specific to age, gender, race, social class, ability, religion, sexual orientation, and geographic location. These locations inform our belief systems, experiences in the world, and our access. The paradox? Changing ourselves on an individual level reverberates through families, communities, institutions, history, and the entire Earth’s landscape.

The Process.

Invest in the possibility of becoming the clearest version of yourself.

The value will benefit you beyond expectations. What the journey has in store is beyond imagination.

“In order to discover new lands, one must be willing to lose sight of the shore for a very long time.”
