Mental Health Round Table w/ From Invisible to Visible Therapy

The ‘Mental Health Round Table’ is a “safe space where clinicians discuss mental wellness and offer helpful insights and support,” facilitated by From Invisible to Visible Therapy, based in Toronto, Canada. I was invited by Carole Sandy, a Therapist and the Founder to discuss a complex and systemically-denied emotion that many of us are navigating with no support, resources, or general education: grief.

Our discussion spanned a variety of topics within grief, including what drives my journey of grief education dissemination, why I think “re-branding grief” is so important, the five gates of grief (as outlined by Francis Weller), what it means to embark on a journey with grief, how grief mobilizes us, working through the grief of COVID, how to navigate the depths of current grief, and some resources and practices that can help along the journey.

Big shoutout to my main resource, The Wild Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller, which has been a formidable companion on the journey of my own grief processing and a source of so much grief education that I reference to disseminate my learnings. And so much love to Carole Sandy for giving me this opportunity to share what I feel is pivotal, transformational, and life-changing discourse.

If you want a shared space to process your grief, feel free to schedule an unearthing call with me here.
